Senior Civil Designer

Job tasks and responsibilities

Full time position as part of a dynamic Civil Engineering team. Successful candidate will be afforded the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from road upgrades and land development, to commercial and industrial developments. Must have relevant formal qualifications in Civil Engineering, and at least 10 years' experience in civil design & drafting of roads, subdivisions, storm water drainage, sewer and water supply. Opportunity exists to expand into project management.

Skills and experience

Essential:

  • AutoCAD
  • Civil 3D or CSD is preferred, but 12D candidates will be considered

Desirable:

  • CivilCAD (Magnet)

Salary:

$90,000 - $120,000 + Super - dependent on qualifications & experience.

Senior Civil Engineer

Job tasks and responsibilities

The successful candidate's role will have a strong emphasis on management of projects and design teams. The candidate will also undertake civil engineering design, review and project management for a wide range of projects, including land development and other civil infrastructure; manage client relationships on allocated projects; conduct site inspections; manage design projects from inception through to completion within agreed time frames and budgets; work effectively and harmoniously with all levels of staff and management; prepare high quality proposals, reports, documents and other deliverables.

Skills and experience

Essential:

  • Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 7 years' practical design experience in an Australian consulting environment
  • Familiarity with local authority and state government approval and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to lead and manage staff and collaborate with other disciplines across organisation
  • Ability to network,  maintain and build professional relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desirable:

  • Professional registration (CPEng)

Salary

$90,000 - $120,000 + Super -  dependent on qualifications & experience.

Town Planner

Job tasks and responsibilities

Full time position as part of a Town Planning team. Successful candidate will be afforded the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from rezoning applications to large scale subdivision and everything in between. Day to day work will involve the preparation of Development Applications, SEE's, Planning REF's, liaising with clients, Council and State Government.

Essential skills and experience

  • Degree qualified (or near completion)
  • NSW drivers licence
  • Proficiency in word processing/Microsoft office
  • High level communication skills

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Local Government experience (particularly within the NSW planning system)
  • Experience in the preparation and/or assessment of development applications
  • Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and within a team
  • Demonstrated experience in administration duties and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated negotiation/conflict resolution skills

Salary Range:

$70,000 to $80,000 + Super - dependent on qualifications and experience.

Receptionist/Admin Assistant

Role Description

An excellent opportunity exists for a full time Receptionist/Administration Assistant to join our  professional and friendly team at our Ballina office. Hours of work are from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday. There may be an opportunity for permanent/part time job sharing for appropriate applicants.

As the Receptionist of our firm, you will be the first point of contact and will need to possess an articulate telephone manner, have well-developed interpersonal skills, a neat presentation and a high level of professionalism to engage with our clients, which include local community, interstate developers and local state government.

Remuneration will be in accordance with your skills and abilities as per the Clerks Private Sector Award 2010.

Skills and Experience

Selection Criteria:

  • Minimum 5 years' administration experience, preferably in similar role
  • Exceptional telephone manner & customer service skills
  • Highly developed ability with MS Office - Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent time management & organisation skills
  • Excellent record-keeping skills - electronic and hard copy
  • Proficiency in typing reports & general correspondence
  • Experience in petty cash, stationery ordering, filing & general office duties
  • Experience working for Council or an Engineering firm, or similar consultancy practice
  • Available to commence work 6th January 2020
