Bridges

Ardill Payne & Partners undertake bridge design for a wide range of situations. From basic wooden structures through to large concrete bridges, as well as new technology composite structures, Ardill Payne & Partners has a complete design solution for our clients' needs.

We are registered with the NSW Public Works and Local Government Panel of Engineers as consulting engineers for works on roadways and bridges. In this role we provide minor bridge design (<15m span), generally as pre-stressed concrete, to local councils and private sector infrastructure suppliers and developers.

We also have experience in the provision of major (up to 70m span) and minor (<15m span) bridge design, evaluation and construction. We undertake bridge design for everything from basic wooden structures to large concrete structures, as well as new technology composite bridge structures.

Bridges are subject to harsh environmental conditions and may have undergone changes in load stresses over time. Bridges require ongoing investigation and maintenance to ensure their long-term performance. We are able to provide investigation and bridge condition reporting. Our structural engineers have extensive experience in undertaking investigations of bridge decks, superstructure, and substructure problems for a wide range of bridge materials and structure types. We are also able to provide clients with design solutions for any problems revealed through investigations.
